This is such a useful post especially as I am new and trying to sign up to everything. I am trying to calm my excitement down so that I don't burnout!

I have a blog which has taken ages to take off, and finally getting there, but mainly concentrating on a forum now - over 150 registered users but hardly many posts.
Persistence is key - and providing value. You don't get something for nothing

GTM (you do get kicked out frequently but they do offer a lot of surveys), Panelbase (reached 1st payout already), OnePoll, YouGov (although it will take a long time to get to the 5000 points) and PopulisLive (pays thhe best).
Sites that need more time:
ProlificAcademic - hasn't had many surveys I'm eligible for
Sites I don't like:
OpinionWorld - just horrible - wants you to take chairty surveys about 90% of the time.
Yes. I had trouble never any paid surveys from Opinion World. Lasted a few months and no change so I scrapped it in the end. Opinion World is very hit and miss as to whether you get paid surveys or not. KatyKicker is one of the lucky ones that do well from it and get plenty of paid surveys to cash out on a regular basis.katykicker said:mcp said:After a week the survey sites I like are:

Hi [member=2613]mcp[/member] - I'm the self appointed survey guru... So here are a few small tips:
ProlificAcademic: Sign up to the TMS alerts thread: http://www.themoneyshed.co.uk/index.php?topic=3672.new#new There are LOTS of helpful people that post when a new study is live. You'll need to be on your email promptly for the alerts to avoid missing out as I've seen studies with 200+ people fill up in under 15 minutes.
OpinionWorld: A lot of the charity surveys are profile surveys for upcoming projects. I personally get charity surveys less than once a month, and only one. It seems that OpinionWorld is hit and miss for people. Some of us get all paid surveys and some people just keep getting charity surveys. I would suggest plodding on for a few more weeks and if you don't start getting access to the paid work (I've had focus groups, product trials etc) then I would suggest you just scrap it. Seems that if it is going to allow you into the paid surveys it does it within a few weeks. I think [member=117]Blackpepper1[/member] had the same problem as you, not sure if things ever changed, so sometimes just worth considering axing one like that x
