Morning all,

I'm involved in a trial for this app. and will be promoting it today at the Edinburgh Festival. So what?

So....it's a review app not too dissimilar to TripAdvisor which lets you review bars, shops, restaurants, etc near to where you are.

The big difference here is you get PAID to review. I downloaded the app last week & won a coffee immediately and by the time I'd completed my second review had grabbed dinner at a local bar. Just for giving a rating.

If you fancy giving it a go please download from your android/iOS app store, BUT don't activate it fully....yet.

Within the next hour or two I will be issued with a unique referral code so if you'd rather get more rewards please wait until I've posted that to fully activate. That way we both get bigger and better rewards. Seemples.

I'll update as soon as I have the code, please help a needy shedder secure a job ;)

Hi guys, sorry this is the first chance I've had to update since this morning. My referral code is "bigblue" if anyone fancies giving this a shot.

The app doesn't actually "pay" you to review, so sorry for my clumsy phrasing, it actually rewards people with prizes for participation.

I'm very new to this app/job, so by no means an expert, but it's set up to be a much fairer version of something like TripAdvisor. Any feedback given to a restaurant is delivered with an anonymous "tag" that is unique to the issue raised, and can only be related to any individual user by TRYBAL, and this would never be divulged to a client. Rewards start off at a small "welcome" like a coffee and the more you rate the higher your rewards become. I signed up last week & had a sit in coffee at a posh cafe & a meal at a west end bar after completing 2/3 reviews.

The rewards tend to be offered by small, unique businesses so, say you reviewed McDonalds - if that review generated an award it would be at a non-corporate, small business rather than a big chain.

On the train home & phone's dying so please use the activation code if you fancy playing with the app and winning a prize or two. I'll try and check in again later tonight. Toodles for now.

Thank you for the update, I will give it a go, just hope I don't get something free from a place I don't like lol:)

When you rate somewhere, it doesn't seem to disappear from your feed. Am I doing something wrong? Could get annoying after a while if the feed is full of places I've already rated

Thanks for this! I have installed the app. Not showing a lot near me at the moment but I travel about a lot so I think this will be good for me.

Thanks for getting involved guys, very much appreciated. Glad to hear people are getting decent rewards & seeing the benefits.

I'm still waiting to hear if made the cut or not, but I don't really see a downside to this app so am happy to promote it regardless (perhaps not quite as actively, right enough ;) )

I'll certainly query that - it may be so the reviews are kept up to date (if you like a restaurant, chances are you'll go back, but if it's rubbish that time...?), but can equally see how frustrating that could get. Perhaps an option to "lock/unlock" your review so it does/doesn't appear on your feed once reviewed might work. Feedback very much appreciated.

Happy days, that's whats great about this site it's not just what each person can earn, but about sharing the love too:)

Indeed, trying hard not to sound like a company stooge but I can't really see anything to dislike about it. Thanks for spreading the word, too.

Nothing immediately helpful I'm afraid, but I do remember the boss talking about only having had some technical issues reported with ios at the weekend, as opposed to none with android. I'll certainly feed it back the next time I speak to him but it could be be something they're already working on.
