Using an iPad instead of an iPhone

At the moment I have an Ipad2 and not sure if this is still usable for most of the task apps? And tasks?
I haven't taken the plunge with any yet as just about to move house, but I'm serious about picking up some of this work.

More bulky to carry around for working with, but its there and not costing me any extra?

Should I persevere? or swap to an iphone to get started?

get an iphone

it's just not practical at all to use an ipad for those tasks and not get caught

Sorry newbie question, I didn't really think it through did I !
Must admit though I wasn't thinking of the more secret shopper and clandestine tasks at first, more the mundane type stuff, but take the point and first thing on my to do list then.
