Has anyone used social media to earn an income. Perhaps you have things to sell and use social media to sell your items. I have two people join my greeting card business, and got a few customers all through Facebook.

People on fiverr and fivesquid sell the chance to market to their 1000s of twitter followers or facebook likes.
Though how many people are actually in the catchment you are looking for I don't know but either way. Get enough followers and you can charge a premium to tweet about something

On the basic side of things there's usually someone on my friends page on Facebook whose put together an album of photos of all the stuff they want rid of and are trying to sell it! They usually get a few sales too...
