What Can I Do From Home?

I am in the process of looking for some kind of work which I can do from home, due to current circumstances. For the past few months I had been doing work as a freelancer for a company called Lionbridge. I was an 'Ads Assessor' which required me to rate the Ads you see on the right hand side of the screen when using a search engine. It wasn't rocket science, but the pay was actually decent and I wasn't under pressure constantly, which actually helped given my current circumstances. The hours suited me immensely, and the freedom to login and work hours I decide really made me actually enjoy the work as well.

Unfortunately a month ago they ran out of work for me and I've not heard from them since. They have said they will be in touch as soon as more work becomes available, although I am out of work at the moment and desperately need to find something. I have applied to various other similar companies such as Leapforce and Appen but not heard anything back yet.

I was just curious if you guys knew of any other similar kind of work available online anywhere, which I can do from home. I signed up to a place called Clickworker.com which gives small tasks to complete for money but the pay is abysmal (£0.01 for 5-10 minutes work, etc.). So really, I'm looking for something with a more respectable pay amount. Even minimum wage (£7.20) would be fine if I am able to actually work from home. I possess an accurate typing speed of around 90-100 words per minute so I was considering doing some transcription type work, although the formatting rules just seem ridiculous. Having to remember the formatting rules as well as keep up with the fast speakers on the audio, then having to type it all out just seemed a little bit complicated, although it is still there as a last resort.

I looked into matched betting, but for somebody who is totally new to it, it seems extremely complicated and I'm not sure if it'd end up being worthwhile to provide me with an income of some sort.

I'd massively appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you.

Ok, first thing.. matched betting is definitely worth it. I've made over £15,000 since May and even if you didn't have the luck I've had with some of the offers you could easily have still made £2,000-£3,000 in that time, just read some of the threads here and you'll see the sort of money people are making.

With regards to online work I find that having a mixture of different websites that I use works really well for me, however, if you don't want that then I'd have said Appen or Leapforce but you've said you've already applied to those.

I'm not sure if Arise are still around, but I think that is another option that could be worth exploring.

Matched betting is really a great way for some income + best of all it is tax free!

Hey [member=4257]Caliginous[/member]

Matched betting is EXTREMELY easy to do

Honestly, just click the banner above for it and do the FREE TRIAL

You will make around £45 risk free for a few mins work and have you hand held throughout

There is nothing else I can think of that you can do online that pays you so much for literally a few minutes work!!!

Any other questions, please just ask!

On top top that there is the usual stuff like

Leapforce
Lionbridge
WhatUsersdo
uTest
edigitalresearch

All this stuff in in the beginners guide toolkit and you can EASILY earn £700-£1000+ a month from that alone!

Thanks for the quick responses! I was reading through the matched betting guide and got to the point where it says "check out the post on http://slummysinglemummy.com/2015/09/09/earn-up-to-1000-tax-free-every-month-with-matched-betting/ which takes you through the process so you can see for yourself".

When clicking this link, I get another step by step guide to go through. Am I meant to be exactly following that first, and then move on to the "How to get started" part of the original guide?

Also, I have around £75 spare to my name at the moment... Is that enough to get started with matched betting? I noticed in the slummysinglemummy.com guide to matched betting, it tells me to place a £5 bet both on Coral and Betfair. I'm guessing that is actual money I have to deposit myself? That's no problem of course, just wanted to make sure incase I misinterpreted the information, and I'm meant to be using none of my own money at all haha.

My final question for now is this... It says to place a 'Back' bet on a football team to win on one of the sites, and then to place a 'Lay' bet for the team NOT to win on a different site. When it comes to football though, there can be 3 different results (Win/Draw/Loss), so do I need to place 3 different bets in order to make sure all bases are covered? It tells me to place a 'Lay' on the team NOT to win, but that could mean either a draw or loss, so I'm a little confused.

Hi [member=4257]Caliginous[/member]

The Slummy Mummy post was more of a 'what Matched Betting' involves really type post.

Just give the banner above a click like I said and just follow the VERY easy to use and understand instructions laid out by Profit Accumulator

£75 is more than enough to get started, I started with only £60

yes the coral bet / betfair thing involves depositing real money from your £75 starting post

With football if you were betting on a team say Manchester United to beat Chelsea

you would BACK them at the bookie and LAY the same team at the exchange but honestly, profit accumulator lays everything out for you and holds your hand so you will be fine

Ah, brilliant. I didn't realise Profit Accumulator was where all the details are. I'll follow all the instructions and give it a good try. Fingers crossed!

Hi [member=4257]Caliginous[/member]
Like [member=1]Jon[/member] and [member=920]katykicker[/member] has said matched betting seems a really good earner for most people on here! I'm really annoyed as my partner started doing matched betting but seems to have given it up and I believe most bookies don't like two people from the same address doing it... grrr....
Anyway, with your typing speed you would have no trouble getting transcription work. Some of the companies pay a decent amount for your speed. I wouldn't be put off too much with the formatting etc as you will be given training and I'm sure you would get used to it really quickly. I would say that you would earn more from that than you would Lionbridge etc and if you did that alongside matched betting you should be earning lots! ;D Good luck!

[member=1169]bordercolliefan[/member] is there no chance of him making another bank account and you having the card to use for matched betting? Just an idea :)

[member=920]katykicker[/member] I was kind of hoping that he would carry on doing it so I can pinch some of his winnings lol. He is much more better at that kind of thing then I am as I am a bit gung ho about things whereas he is very careful :)
I told him over a year ago about matched betting (from this site) and I was hoping he would help me but he signed up himself first!!! I did ok out of it to start with tho! ;)

Ahh what a shame [member=1169]bordercolliefan[/member] - at least you've still got lots of other ways you can make cash online!

Hello

Id say matched betting is definitely worth doing, just take it slowly at first and build you confidence.

How about trying mystery shopping, just signed up with GfK they have allot of work that can be completed from home assessing telephone services.

Good luck

Chris.

Hello - I'm new to the forum but just wanted to add ProlificAcademic as an option. I've been with them for some time now and whilst you have to regularly check for tasks (you can go days with nothing, then one day have a few!) they're quite enjoyable and the pennies can add up quite quickly.

Hi

If you have a good typing speed then maybe try Take Note - https://takenotetyping.com/

Good luck

Hey [member=4257]Caliginous[/member]

Just wondering how you were getting on and if you managed to find some better paying work you can do from home for the amount of time you have available...

Hopefully things are looking much better for you now!
