Nice format. Did you know that a few of the apps have a referral scheme, it might be worth adding the details of them - every little helps. The other suggestion is that Task360 is dead, so you should probably remove that.

:)
Thanks, yes I would like to add referrals in. I did have a look through as I was adding the links but the only one I have I think is Streetbees. I tried to open the Surveybods refer friends page but it never seems to work. Was there any others that I missed? I might offer Roamler codes as a reward for comments as I have 3 invites at the moment.

Thanks for the heads up on Task360, I'll take that off. I wasn't sure if it had finished but when I checked it was still on the app store. I'll remove it to avoid confusion.

Liked your post undercover mummy. I agree with the reverend about adding referral links. Another couple of apps to try are Vypr and Qmee. It might be worth mentioning that Redwigwam can also be used on a laptop. I hate doing reports on a mobile phone.
I'll take a look at those, thanks! Yes I'll mention that about RedWigwam. I hated doing them on my phone until I found out I could add the pictures from the gallery instead of taking them in app, but it is still a silly tiny text format.

btw, you can have up to media.net ads on a page so i would think about putting some in a widget down the sidebar ;)
How many ads?

I don't have one in the sidebar because I was going to put an Adsense one there but it didn't work for some reason. @Ar_ I have the same problem as you! My Adsense account got deactivated because they couldn't detect the ad presence on the site. On my list to try and sort out today.

You can have up to 3 on a page so have 2 within the content and 1 on the sidebar ;)

Thanks. Can you have an Adsense ad and a Media.net ad next to each other in the sidebar?
Aye but just remember the adsense ones aren't as contextual as the media.net ones and are a big more 'graphicy' so don't overload ya readers!

Yeah I just can't get it to show up at all! I wonder if it's the Advanced Ads plugin or my autooptimize cache. Also gonna have a look today see if I can fix it up lol

Undercover mum I really liked your mystery shopping post. I have tried shopping with my husband but never a young child. I felt you conveyed the problems well. My mystery shops have included stately homes and even a train ride. I find I have to dress the part, yesterday's job was to ask about a £1,000 arm chair. A different look than for a pub visit. More experienced people will help you more but I think you need mystery shopping in your first line to be picked up by Google.

Ok so I had a play around today. I'm using AdvancedAds too. I think I've cracked it. You have to create the Ad in the Ads section, specifically choosing the AdSense ad option and making sure you have set it up with the script Google gives you AND your publisher code in the separate box. Call it Side Bar or something so you remember it.

Then, go onto the placements section of the AdvancedAds plugin. Create a sidebar ad placement. Once it's set up link your newly created side bar AdSense ad.

Finally, go into the widget area of WP. Add the AdvancedAds widget into your side bar section in the position you want it amongst your other side bar things. Go into the AdvancedAds widget itself and select your Side Bar ad.

Doing the above has resulted in a blank space where I think the ad will appear. I created a Media.net sidebar ad in the same way and that one is working, so hopefully the AdSense one will come on when Google approves my account.

Another quick note to add. I downloaded the AdvancedAds AdSense plugin which is separate to the main plugin. I did all the above with the main plugin but maybe it only started working when I downloaded the extra AdSense one. If not, I'm not quite sure what the AdvancedAds AdSense plugin does.

Ok I'm fed up of writing ad now and having to amend the autocorrect from changing it to as :D

Thank you @fraserbooks and thanks for your comment on the blog! Wow, you've done some really interesting ones! £1000 armchair?!

Thanks for your point about the first line. I'm using Yoast and it seems happy that 'mystery shopping' in the first paragraph and the meta link (I'll double check tomorrow), but as you say if more experienced people suggest otherwise I'll look into changing it :D

Yoast is a double edged sword really. I appreciate the help but my OCD nature means I want green lights on all my posts and it takes me 3 times as long to finish tweaking them! I guess I'll get better at pleasing it as time goes on and I get more used to the requirements.

@NickDaws I've never heard of this. How much work do they have? Is it quite new to the UK?
I'm sure I've seen TaskRabbit mentioned before on the forums - From memory because it is only based in local cities work is few and far between for most of the population.

And then Pickle arrived with a very similar app

I'll give that a try, thank you!
