Sorry to hear it didn't go to well but you've definitely got the right mind set about it :) I know it's only been a few weeks for my story sacks but I was posting in the selling groups and a couple of baby/children buy and sell - it wasn't until I sold the first one and she said that she was a childminder that I started posting in more childminding groups and then I got a lot more interest!

the problem [member=277]Chammy[/member] would have is that while you can go and post on Mummy facebook groups and post and gain some traction as what you are offering is unique to you. While if Chammy does Younique posts on Mum groups they have seen it all before, for MANY months so it probably goes in one ear and out the other

This is true, but there will still be some people to catch. I think there will still be some that haven't heard of it - I know that's possibly like finding some needles in a haystack but it's possible. It'll be about the way it's presented too - most people just churn out spiel with emoji icons and lots of exclamation marks XD

Yup this is why I rarely post in Facebook groups any more, I search them hoping to find people asking about the company/products but you can guarantee that as soon as you post an advert in any group, esp the working from home ones, that another Presenter will post milliseconds after you ::)

Its just the nature of sales its all trial and error, hit and miss, its still very early days for you chammy and you have a fantastic positive attitude and that is half the battle if you believe in what you're doing others will too

Plenty of reviews saying it's fake and it's causing reactions that it shouldn't. Like it has been said plenty we cannot buy wholesale, there is no way a genuine Presenter can sell the products that cheap. China and such places are pretty good at copying not only our stuff but MAC and other big brands but they are unregulated and can contain anything.

http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/warning-over-fake-makeup-which-contains-urine-rat-droppings-and-cyanide-10257023.html

There was a post going around my local selling page before I signed up about someone having a serious reaction, bad mouthed Younique and tried spreading shite about the company all over Facebook...until it was revealed that they had bought a cheap knock off AND poked themselves in the eye with the fiber wand.

Not only were they not covered by the guarantee so they could get their money back but they didn't have a leg to stand on as they wanted to sue.

It's something about this particular type of product that attracts this sort of nastiness -_- you don't hear it about Usborne books lol. The knockoff thing will always happen though for many many products especially if they are popular or a bit different. There was a lot of hoo-ha about who was the first person to do those personalised jute bags!

Oh is that why!!! I always used to wonder how people could sell Avon products on ebay way below the price they cost in the brochures, even the prices they cost on sale in the brochures, I couldn't figure out how they were possibly making any money, but they must have been fakes, of course! I am so naive! ::)

If I was on the highest commission of 30% I could (when the NFR is lifted) technically sell them for £17.48 at the cheapest but that would mean I was using my commission to get the price down...there is no point as I wouldn't be making any money; if that makes sense. It is why you will see people who are dropping the opportunity sell them for say £18/£20 as they have already had their commission so just want to sell it technically for the price they paid.

This month's customer kudos is proving popular, a few people enquiring about it (and I'm trying to convince a friend to buy it for his pregnant girlfriend who is going on holiday soon) and my blog has had search result hits for it.

It is quite a cute little set though.

I've also decided to condense all my Younique socials into one account and operator under ChammyIRL but still keep my business page on Facebook. Trying to manage all those accounts means I am sacrificing one for the other...plus it'll make my accounts a little more personal rather than sell sell sell!

Sounds like you have everything sorted. :)
Good to keep the admin down to minimum and be efficient.
It is getting the balance right of encouraging sales without being really pushy can be tricky.
Least you have found something you enjoy being involved in.

Just booked myself onto my first webinar, apparently we have a big announcement coming 1st of July so I've decided I want to listen in rather than wait until the next day to find out what it is.

People are placing bets on new products, new countries, free samples, NFR being lifted but I don't have a clue as it could be any of them we just know that it is so "mind blowing" that only one of the co-founders can deliver the details; rather than it just being posted on the FB group. I am a little excited.

I hope it is something that can help boost your sales. Do you actually make much profit out of it? I think last time I asked you said something like £100 that month? But I could be thinking of someone else :D

I'm hoping it is a combination of things like lifting the Not For Resale rules, some people are hoping it is changes to the commission structure or bonuses.

At the moment I'm not making much, Netmums takes all my day up so I'm doing little and often round it. I've seen a few clicks and search results for my blog already and a couple of click throughs to my Younique site so I'm hoping as I add more Younique content to that it'll start picking up without me having to do too much. I think this is a cross country event for me rather than a 100m sprint like it is for others :D

Well I hope that it is something that will benefit you. Nicely dodged there, I assume if you wanted to say the exact amount you would :D I hope it gets better. I have a few things that don't pay great but can be fit in as and when so it is still worth doing really over the month.

Well, the incentive for the Jamaica cruise has finished but everyone who didn't make it to the ship still has a chance to get on it. Each Black Status Presenter has been given 2 seats to use how they wish for other Presenters to be in for a chance. Most are using them as an incentive so you get an entry if you make xx in sales, sponsor a new presenter etc. This has a lot of Presenters super excited. I would love to be able to go but there is no way I can afford it, a new passport and return flights to Florida as well as sorting out holiday time for the husband to watch the child...it's a shame. Maybe next time haha ;)

We are launching in Germany on the 1st August to sponsor Presenter's and 1st September for sales, I've just sat in on my first webinar (this isn't the big one I've previously mentioned) but it was nice as there was the companies German contact there talking about the German make-up market. He was really excited about the launch and loves everything about the company in regards to the product being delivered to the customer's house, that it's more presenting the product than selling (obviously not all presenters are like this) and he thinks that the German market is going to love it.

Company is buzzing at the moment :D

June's Splurge Cream Eye Shadow is GORGEOUS!!! It's called Charming and it's a sparkly, seafoam green that looks kinda silvery; I love it! You need such a tiny amount of it too, I barley used any while playing with it. Can't wait to see what colour next month's is :D

This is currently circulating our Facebook groups and Instagram, Black Status Presenters now know what it is but we don't find out until next week.
