I'm starving too.

Had no grapefruit left so 2 boiled eggs today.

Lunch is supposed to be 2 boiled eggs and tomatoes.

Then dinner is chicken (fake) and cucumber and celery.

Down 5lb now though. It could be water of course, but I was already dieting. Had stalled for a couple of weeks...

I lost the two stone I mentioned by eating pasta. And tons of it. I'm gonna make me a mahoooosive pan of it and eat it all :)

Really? Tell me more.

I'm considering the rice diet.

Argh. I need something I can stick to. Most diets do work for me but I can never stick to them.

Proud of myself yesterday. The husband and child had sausage, egg, chips, beans and buttered bread for dinner; I had sausage, mixed roast veg and a small boiled sweet potato.

Tonight is lasagne (husband's birthday so one of his fav meals) and I will have a small slice with salad! I will be good :D

Not even had my first set of bloods taken and I'm bored. I have at least another 2 hours in this overly warm antenatal unit :(

Antenatal? ???

My referral for the test came from my infertility consultant so I have to have it done at the antenatal unit.

Ah I see, sorry I assumed otherwise lol. Strange though, different to here. We have bloods taken at the GP then sent off to the hospital - apart from one of my pregnancy ones which was at the hospital - hence the assumption

This one is same as the pregnancy one. Bloods taken, lucozade and wait 2 hours then bloods taken again.

It's not a normal fasting one, they are testing my tolerance to glucose.

I understand, long wait in the hospital though... its times like those that I crack out my DS

I'm an eternal dieter. I worked out yesterday I've probably lost 2 stone at least ten times, and four stone twice. So 28 stone in total. It also means I gained that much too.

I stopped smoking five years ago and a few months later became pregnant. So that saw me gain 4 stone (probably more). When my little girl was 14 weeks old I was pregnant again, so never had the chance to lose it. I probably lost two stone in between pregnancies...

Then I did SW when my little boy was born. I was breastfeeding so didn't want to diet too strictly. Lost 2 stone, gained it again. So tried a VLCD (like Lighterlife) and lost 4.5 stone in 4 months. Went from a size 18 to a size 10. And, yep, put the weight on just as quickly again.

Then I tried various other diets and lost two stone, gained two stone, lost it again, and so on.

Last year I got married so, in another desperate attempt at losing weight I started the vlcd again. Lost 4 stone. Put two of it back on straight after my wedding. So far this year I've lost just over 2 stone. But have stayed the same (give or take a lb or 2) for the last 5 weeks.

I'm now doing the Harcombe Diet. It completely bans sugar, sweeteners, caffeine, because they all trigger an insulin response. Insulin encourages your body to store fat. It's hard to stick to and I do cheat but the diet allows me to 'cheat' properly with dark chocolate. I find if I know I'm allowed that, I can stay away from other baddies.

I've got a holiday in September and I'd like to lose 1st 1lb by then to get into the 10st bracket.
How's your weird and wonderful diet going?

Off, back on, off again, back on... ad infinitum.

I am so incredibly stupid it's unreal.

Hiya

Earlier in this thread it was mentioned about using the free WW resources. Where can I find these? I want to learn about points so that I can monitor what I'm eating but I'm not in need of the weekly meetings. Which resources are free with WW which will be helpful?

Erm. I dunno. I think what happened was I stopped smoking and changed my lifestyle at the same time (I used to run, but moved to Spain a few weeks after stopping smoking, and stopped running and going to the gym). Add a few heavy nights out and partying lifestyle and I gained probably a stone.

Now I always look for a quick fix. I don't want to do a sensible diet where I lose 1lb a week or less, when I can crash diet and lose 3lb a week. Thing is, sensible me knows a.) I can't stick to the crash diets so don't lose the weight promised anyway, and b.) I regain it quickly again.

Still this elusive stone to lose. Maybe I should just accept I'm old and destined to stay a size 12 forever now.

yeah I mean if you want to lose a stone then once all the water retention has gone you are going to have to keep at the diet for a good 2 months I recon

Can't you just do it for that long? Then it's done!

This one seems pretty accurate Jenna. http://www.calculator.net/weight-watchers-points-calculator.html

You calculate your daily allowance, you then have 49 extra to use per week (if you want, when you want). You need to use ALL your daily points. You then use the "Pro Points Calculator (U.K.)" to work out points per food. It's a lot of work compared to paying for their services as they have a huge database of foods ready to track.
