I hate snow in the UK. What's the point? Why do people get so excited about it? You can't even ski on it!
No-one knows how to drive properly in it, you can't get anywhere, usual activities are spoiled, and old people fall over and break bones.
::)

PS. The MLM area of the forum also gets on my nerves. I can't be bothered to engage anymore - life is just too short to keep highlighting unscientific BS and unfathomable commission structures. If people want to have "blind faith" in medical products and miracle anti-wrinkle products rather than demanding evidence that they work first then I suppose that is their lookout. We seem to be at the start of a "new age of endarkenment" in the world generally anyway, with "blind faith" being the biggest culprit, so that might as well be extended to all areas of life. When Government health ministers promote homeopathy "treatments" as a legitimate alternative to proven treatments, despite the pretty compelling evidence that it is complete and utter hogwash, you can't expect the masses to make sensible evidence-based decisions in their lives. I recently heard him idiotically state that the NHS could save money of people with a cold/flu used homeopathy rather than going to their GP for antibiotics! Anyone want to point out the obvious scientific stupidity in his comment!?

Has it been snowing where you live?? Nowt a bit further up the coast.

I hate that bit of the forum too - I find it irritating and whenever I hit "unread posts" it's constantly full of Younique or Herbalife nonsense.

It's HAMMERING down with snow here in Leeds

which is a pain as my dog is at the barbers right now getting his hair cut so will have to go out in it later

The MLM area : Don't let it get to ya, it's contained to one subforum that you can just minimise anyway if you don't want to be bothered by it ;)

I want snow. I don't like going out in it, but it looks pretty.
My mam uses dial-a-dog wash for her dog hahahaha.
Do you find the MLM area irritating too?

You mean the groomer comes to your house? Not bad that

The MLM areas covers ways that people earn money from home that are, shall we say, not how me and you do it - It doesn't mean it's wrong as peope could look at what we do and say we are nuts doing edig work and me getting you to do those football facts for £50 a time

Afternoon, lovelies ;D

Who's had snow? None of the stuff here, 'tho our car had ice on the inside and outside of the windows this morn *hehe*

I successfully avoided my computer ALL day yesterday ... but having to make up for it today, starting to input all my outgoings (totally disproportionate to my 'incomings' haha!) for these blinkin' accounts/self-assessment-nonsense that's due in 14 days time.

Oh. My. 14 DAYS??!! :-[

Wishing you all a lovely eve :-*

No snow in Bristol despite numerous warnings. It will not come anyway, and if it will, there will be one day of snow for the whole winter and then back to rain, as usual.

I miss proper snow :(

Well antibiotics for cold are silly, cold is made by viruses and antibiotics work on bacteria, so completely useless in this case.

Me too - I love the snow! I mean PROPER snow, where you can have proper snowball fights and make snow angels!

*chuckle* so glad they are cutting back on dispensing antibiotics, nowadays. Definitely a generation-issue 'tho : my very elderly in-laws are always demanding antibiotics for all kinds of poorlyness and they just cannot understand why they aren't being given antibiotics for everything "like they used to" ... hence much banging off heads on walls in our house ;D Can't teach old dogs new tricks, etc etc :D

C'mon SNOW!!!!!

Had snow this morning. Looks very pretty.
Starting to melt a bit but if it freezes tonight it is going to be icy tomorrow.

No snow here at all and I'm only 20 miles from Leeds. I keep looking at the sky wondering if I'm mad, but there's definitely no snow. It's cold tho.

I got that Gravity for free on my non-main Google account. So not sure if I can watch it on my Chromecast thingy. And I bought the Chromecast to make the TV 'smart', because I got sick of watching Netflix on the Wii. So now I've got Google Play, Now subscriptions, Netflix and Sky. And I don't even really watch TV.

Been watching OITNB of late tho, I love it. And we have Stalker for weekends (husband is home so I don't get too scared of my own shadow or the stairs creaking).

I have a kinda weird question.. :p
Do you personally stop putting the effort into slow earners as you come across and start earning from better things?
For example, since using Prolific Academic, eDig and whatuserdo I really can't be asked to complete the surveys I used to.

I do see some of you still use survey sites as well as things which give you much more for your time.
Is that not difficult!? :p Just curious really. :)

I like surveys anyway and I have sussed out the better ones that are worth my time.
It is always good to have several income streams in case something happens to any of the sites you are a member of.
Lots of people lost a huge amount in earnings when Bubbles changed their Terms.
So better to have backups in case something does go wrong with a site.

Good question

I started with survey sites and have moved on a LOT since then

I only have x amout of hours per day to spend on earning from home so I have to spend that time earning as much as I possibly can in the shortest amount of time. It's like a constant upgrade really where I am always on the lookout for better ways to replace what it is I do now
Once I go forwards I never go backwards

AMAZING. But expensive.

They have these freestyle Coke machines, where you can get your usual Sprite, Fanta, Coke etc but you can add cherry, vanilla, peach, raspberry and more. Plus the drinks are refillable.

With the fries, you get a cup AND they give you an extra scoop in a bag. We can share a small between us. The usual burgers are double, you need to specify a "little burger" for a single burger.

SO GOOD. As many toppings as you want, free.

Go watch gravity - watched it today - very good

I Downloaded Google play movies on my iPhone, logged in and gravity was there. I then played it and turned on AirPlay and watched it on my big TV via my Apple TV

Sounds nice - Yeah saw some of the burgers on peoples tables and they all looked pretty big so would go with the single one.

I just can't believe how popular it was, are they new to the UK or something?
