I have a couple of parcels to post that need to make the first post in the morning. They will be stamped but we are unable to get to the post office until 7pm tonight. In which case, the post office will be shut but it's inside a little corner shop as I live in a very small town and the shop is open until 8pm. The shop and post office are both run by the same man.
I told my other half that we would be able to drop the parcels off inside the shop and the man would either leave them on the counter, pop them behind the counter or put them in a posting sack. I thought this is quite obvious really.
But my other half thinks I am wrong and that once the post office is closed, they won't accept any mail until it is open again which seems a bit strange to me as it's not like they need labels or proof of postage or anything as they will be stamped, so basically ready to go.
Who do you think is right?
