Anyone still working with these folk at the moment? I've passed their initial tests and have to attend a virtual meeting on Wednesday about the role they're considering me for. I don't know much about it other that what I've found by googling what people with little respect for the NDA have said, and don't want to say anything myself here because I'm not daft enough to break the terms. But I just wondered how people found them as an employer?

Muppetbaby I have just signed the contract with Appen. Can you tell me what happened next for you? How long it took to hear anything?

My husband is the same, he's passed the 3 screening tests and has a live chat intro meeting tomorrow too. Have you read the 30 hours of study, exams and then 20 hours of similation? All unpaid I'm guessing. But still if there is a job at the end of it it's worth it. I wonder how many people fail the exam? Both my husband and I will study so hopefully 2 heads will be better than 1.

I believe Appen do pay something for training if you pass and go on to work for them. I've seen $300 written in various posts around the web but no idea if it's true

I haven't signed a contract yet, just the NDA (signed at the end of last week, contacted yesterday with welcome meeting details). There was also an email in my junk mail from appen tech support, so maybe worth checking in your spam folder if you're waiting for something?

Hi, we both sat through it. Yes it sounds great, as long as he can pass the exams. Have you done this type of work before? It's all completely new to us and a bit overwhelming. Having read the forum I think lots and lots of studying is the best way to increase the chances of passing. Is your exam 5th-7th too? They don't give you very long to study!

I've done (and failed at the last stage) the exam for Leapforce. I found the pre-qualifying tests for this a lot easier, so fingers crossed it will click into place. Good luck!

Oh, and yes, test 5th - 7th. It is my best friend's hen night on the 7th, so I'd better get the hang of this quickly so I can complete it sooner rather than later!

You have SO many to do you can't but learn as you go and get better as the exam goes on
