Hi, @Uhhhhh :), haven't 'spoken' to you on here for a while.

After saying I had not got this task, I then got the email from them, ha ha.

Anyhow, I have done 4 of them so far and hope to complete the rest by Sunday.

As you say, according to their FAQ's - No. 6 states that you must complete 10 acceptable calls to qualify. However if you look at No. 12 it states that if you do less than 10 they will help you to achieve this and provide additional chances. As they will not be open until AFTER the deadline one would hope that they will still be able to do so as it is not your fault that you cannot complete them in the allotted time.

No. 6 also says that they will provide the opportunity to make up the extra calls if you are unable to record the calls, so I would not worry about it too much.

Hi, @Cas and @Lorna :) Just to let you know that I applied for the Crowdsourcing task in May and have only just had an acceptance email from them this week, so don't give up on it yet

Edit: Just checked and I registered in May but actually took my Crowdsourcing Test on the 7th July - so took around 10 - 14 days in my case.

@Knopfler Yes, long time no 'see'!

I'm not sure whether to wait to hear back or just to submit as is. What do you reckon?

Knowing you, you will have already triple-checked that you are not trying to use a previous code by mistake. It sounds like you have just got 3 'faulty' codes or email typo's.

I have not got as far as the 'Completion Form' yet so I do not know what is on it. Personally, I would fill in the form and send it off, SO YOU DO NOT MISS THE DEADLINE (and explain what happened if there is anywhere on the form to do so). In addition I would email them to let them know what you have done, what the problem was, and ask them how you proceed from here.

Good luck :)

When using Payoneer, are people on here being paid via Bank Transfer or Prepaid Card for Appen?
Do you need to use the same email address as your Appen one?
What are the charges for using Payoneer and getting payments into your bank account?

I have tried reading their help pages but it's as clear as mud to me, ha ha!

Oh, and thanks in advance :D

Unless you are planning on spending a lot of time in the USA then you might as well get a transfer into your UK account. They give decent rates and transfer to GBP before payout so you don't get a Foreign Currency charge.

Looks like a bank transfer for me then - this woodpecker can't fly, ha ha! I don't understand why I have to go through Payoneer though, it is set up for PayPal with Appenonline but for the Crowdsourcing I have to go through global.appen instead.

Has anyone else that's recently been accepted to the Crowdsourcing just seeing "No hittaps available" every time they log in?

I just found an email (actually arrived 4 days ago but somehow went to spam) asking me to join a Social Media Search Evaluation project with Falcon Ads but after I had "signed" and submitted the terms am no longer able to log back in and iCIMS doesn't recognise my email address as valid when I attempt password reset. Have I missed my chance (notice in the email they prefer you to respond within 24 hours) or are they likely to offer again in the future? Have submitted a query via the Appen site but am impatient, so hoping the hive mind will be able to shed some light on it....

Might as well ask while I'm here - it looks like I've been offered 1 hour per day, 5 days a week but I'd probably be more interested in doing 4+ daily if the work suits me. Is there a way to increase the number of hours you do, or even work across different departments as I know Appen offer various types of work out?

*UPDATE* - Managed to get access to the "talent" site via the "returning applicant" option and now have access to my dashboard which shows the job status as "hidden" so hoping it's still just waiting review....

This job is 1 hour per day 5 days a week minimum and you're unable to change the way the hours work unfortunately.

You'll soon get really quick at it and it barely makes a dent on your day. Great earner too.

I just did my first day of appen falcon ads task, went well i think, it's a handy job and good pay. @deadfool , i remember when i applied i got a deadline to complete a certain part of the qualification, but can't remember which part. Not sure if there is a cut off date in general for this one, guess it's all down to applicants and jobs available. Good luck if your application still open.

Thanks guys, still not quite sure what's going on to be honest. With Appen, although I can get onto my dashboard and see "Social Media Content Evaluator" as a past submission its status says "hidden" with the last update being 20/7. I've also stumbled upon what I suspect to be the portal to use once you start work with them, but none of my details are currently recognised there. *EDIT* I also tried to submit an application in case mine had actually been rejected, but the system still recognises that I have one in progress.

I also received a notification from them this morning that I'd been accepted into the multi-call recording task (which surprised me as I had discovered, after submitting it, that that were not accepting applications from Scotland on this project. Unsure whether to go ahead and complete this if it's likely to be rejected at a later date, though...), but this does not appear on the dashboard or anywhere else that I can see. I suspect I may have somehow created duplicate accounts but can find no other trace of this!

To further confuse things I also got notification that my application for Lionbridge as a Web Content Judge was progressing after I had initially neglected to attach some info then updated it. Does anyone know if this position is one which would conflict with the Appen one or would I be OK to go ahead and work both if successful? Would be very close to achieving my first work-from-home target if so!

So I'm still waiting to hear from Appen. However after reading @deadfool's post about Lionbridge, I remembered that I applied to them too, following a glass of fizz, hence me forgetting I'd done it :oops::oops:! Looking at the email they sent me they said it would be up to two weeks until I hear back, which is today. But given I'd forgotten I'd applied, who knows what I actually sent them! On a serious note, I'm hoping I get something soon as really needing to sort my finances out....

I hear ya there, Lizzie. Am desperate to get my current situation turned around and hope to have found the means to do so, largely due to help, information and advice from this site, and am super-keen to get going. Just keeping my fingers crossed that I get to start with Happen tomorrow...

Ive just completed the test for the MM WSE job, anyone else up for this?
It has a pass rate of 85% for uk people so i really hope i can get this as it will make such a difference to finances.

Just wondering how long did it took for people to hear back about this test, anyone have any experience?

So...How long do you spend on the Falcon ads for Appen? My time is coming down in the last couple of days but I don't know if I'm being too thorough in my response because their feedback seemed to be quite fussy from my initial test...
How much do you reckon you're generally writing for the feedback after the questions?

I am quite particular in making sure I am giving a full response but don't want to be overdoing it so that I'm going beyond the timeframe being paid for..

@Lorna I know how you feel, i do exactly the same. Taking abit of time to give as good a response to hopefully the like my answer, hence round about the hour mark as i try to back up my answers. Also they switched me to doing it on my mobile only after the first day.

Are you also working on mobile only now? Writing fast on mobile takes abit of getting used to with the responses i give. Delighted with the good income stream though.
