I just got an email from 188bet, my heart dropped, thought I had been gubbed, thank goodness it wasn't!

Hi,
Ive been working through the new offers after starting up match betting again.

With the Cheltenham festival do you think this is doable for me at this stage?

I havent done accas yet, i was learning to do them last time before i left but didnt go through with it as i needed to withdraw my money. So im at that stage and still a newbie in the MB world.

I have time over the weekend to swot but in your opinions the more experienced at MB do you think its doable? I dont want to be making mistakes but i also dont want to miss out on the chance to make some money during the festival.

For you high rollers maybe, for us scum there is nothing (I exclude the Bet £100 get 25 free spins offer as the EV on that doesn't look too good) :'(

I see some disgusting offers.

Things like do 50 x £25+ spins and get £50 bonus. ERM HOW ABOUT NO.

A few Cheltenham offers already being advertised. Top three I picked out:

Sky - Money back if your horse fails to win the 1.30 race each day.

Boylesport - Money back if your horse is 2nd or 3d to the SP favourite for all races.

Paddy - Money back if your horse finishes 2nd. For the first 5 races.

Aware of those (unfortunately gubbed by the third). That first one is definitely a dilemma. Do you a) do a punt on, say, the favourite every day - back up is free bet but you do lose £4 - but odds on at least one favourite coming in is good, b) Underlay so you cover the £4 to make it a risk free punt, c) standard QL and go for the free bet.

I think I might go for an early price on the favourite and as the price changes, look at the numbers for b) and c) closer to the off - watching out for any Rule 4. Advantage of a) and b) is that it doesn't need a lot in the exchange and I expect that 'pot' to take a bit of a hammering as there will be so many offers going on at once.

PS that Boyles offer also has a refund if your horse falls at the first or last as well

I'm sure last year quite a few times I would grab early prices in the morning and then lay in the early afternoon once prices had usually dropped so it worked well for me...

Would I flag up with sky bet if I just took there first race offer each day?

do you have a history of betting on horses with them?

this is the biggest racing festival of the year so there is a bit of leeway I think

You could do that one offer each day plus 2 mug bets with them each day..

No history atall. Not long opened my account with them.

I was thinking along those lines of doing that along with a mug bet
