If you don't know how to do the extra place offers then it is worth investing a bit of time in learning, especially as the bookies seem to be doing a lot more of these as they reduce the 'free bet' offers. I am around £450 up this week on Ascot nearly half of this is due to extra places.

I'm finding extra places increasingly hard. The 1/5 place odds make it really hard to get a good odds match.

It can be classed in the 'advanced' category because you need to lay the places closer to the off. Normal MB would never advise you to place a bet and lay it later, but it seems you have to do this increasingly to get a good match. This the way I do it but I cannot advise it as you are taking a risk. Having said that I went back in my records and totted up the numbers, and I made £315 on extra places out of a total of £495 in profit over the 5 days of Ascot.

Although the 'crowd' were singing "come on you reds" a few mins ago and that did seem a bit strange.

I still find it nuts all this is back!

I thought ITV did a great job this week with Royal Ascot though I still find it weird when you know Matt Chapman is doing double duty with Sky Racing which is why his mic always has Royal Ascot on it instead of ITV Racing like everyone else

Yeah, it was because only one 'interviewer' for the winning jockey was allowed, so Matt was the feed for everyone (even the foreign news feeds) so he was 'officially' doing the interviews on behalf of Ascot not ITV

I also think with france letting in 5000 fans into stadiums next month that come September we will at least have season ticket holders in grounds for football!
