I don't know whether I'm gubbed at Coral. I hardly use them now because they accidentally gubbed me along with a number of others a few months back and then reinstated my account, along with an apology FB. But since then, any offers I do are hit and miss as to whether I get the FB and I never get promo emails from them at all. So I don't know what's going on.

Got £200 on EW tomorrow as 4 x £25 EW bets, was surprised the refund was instant. Hoping one of them comes in 5th so that I get a bit of a boost. Ran out of money in the exchange to do the last £25 EW so will leave it for now.

How do you find out what exchanges class as EW? Sky and many others have paying 5 places and I know there's a page on PA about how to calculate them but it's not always very clear. I can't see on Sky what the odds are for EW. It doesn't always say on the betslip... Are they always 1/4? Is it 1/5 if they pay 5 places?

I don't know if I have time to figure it out before tomorrow! Definitely my target for soon though.

ALSO anyone done Matchbook sign up? Underlaid back bet which won so instant £6 profit and no rollover. However if your back and lay bet lose you get a £20 bonus. It has a rollover but I've made £6 from this offer. Not £20. I don't feel PA are the most transparent with offers' true value sometimes.

I just followed the guide for the Bet365 offer on PA, there's a video about how to do it as well.

Just looking at the oddsmatching software on PA - not much seems to be on for the Grand National at all - filtererd for specific bookmaker and exchange and not nothing for the big race itself.

I noticed the same thing, for the Bet365 offer I just picked 4 horses with the lowest odds (looks muggier and will need the lowest liability) and went for that, not sure I would bother with any other bookies.

Really need to get my head round the E/W betting - did one today with a £5 free bet and totally messed it up - won £43.75 at the bookmaker but managed to lose £71.19 at the exchange on it - very wary now of doing the Bet365 offer!

I haven't looked at the calculations but I know the odds are 1/4 for each way so was it to do with that?

Could have been - no idea - thinking what I might do is 5 x £10 ew bets with bet365 offer & not lay them off - then use the free £25 as win's and lay those off instead - sounds easier to me today!

Had to get up super early, but got my bets done for the Grand National. Looking at a just under £60 return. Ended up splitting into 3 bets so lets hope one comes 5th. I'm off for the weekend now so won't know until Sunday afternoon.

I did all of my win lays on BF (had a higher bank available there for the liability) and split the place lays across both.
The QLs weren't good, on some of them I was looking at a £15 QL, others were around £10, I didn't really try to look for the best matches though, just place on the best odds to look like a mug, and reduce liability. I think I've got around £600 tied up in liability on the event now.

The real hope is one comes 5th for a boost to the profit.

Instead of faffing about with EW and extra places, I'm prepared to gamble up to £30 in unlaid mugs. So I was thinking, put 6x£5 bets on each way on 6 different horses, picking the favourites. I reckon at least one would place to the extra places, and I think the most I'll be down is around £20. I know it's flat out gambling but I just want to put a couple of horses on the big accounts and can't deal with figuring out all the EW laying while in sole charge of a toddler.

I'm looking at doing similar. I might look later on in the day and see what the odds are like on the exchange but at the moment the odds are way out and the only ones that are even close are 50+ Liability will be huge.

I agree with picking the top 5 and fingers crossed you land a win or place.
