Did anyone do the high paying survey worth £8.75? I just had my first ever submission rejected for failing attention checks. I can't believe that happened but I have no way of disputing it really :(
No. I've not had that one. I've only bothered disputing 2 rejections but one of them I 'won'. The picture was of a bongo but 1 of the only choices was a drum so I said 'none of these' - and got rejected. So I contacted the researcher and said, well if it was an actual drum, I'd have ticked it - he dribbled on about me overthinking things but paid anyway...:)

About an hour or so. To be fair I should have taken a break as I probably did speed through the last few sections. Quite annoying to spend that long and get rejected, though. Does it affect future prospects of getting surveys?

Have the studies dried up for anyone else or is it just me? Not had one since last Friday.

Just had one this morning the Fast food Task which reappeared after appearing and disappearing yesterday a few times.

Its always quiet this time of year because the Universities are on their summer break.
Ironically this used to be my Dad's 'Busy Time' as he had some weird retirement job marking Physics exam papers from South Africa which were at A-Level I think from memory.

Paid pretty well to be fair!

I think USA schools go back in the next week or two but Prolific seem to be VERY Europe centric with where they get work from

I've been getting a few recently, did a couple on Sunday evening but not seen anything since. It's a nice little earner though so not complaining :)

Do they tell you if you fail the attention checks? If so where?

Thanks.
Normally, they tell you immediately and boot you out or tell you at the end that you have been rejected because you failed an attention check.

Having a study rejected after completion is rare, as in I've only had one or two rejections out of the 1,377 studies that I have completed.

Yes, I got an email then enquired how many I failed, which I got a response to within 5 minutes. I'm still at 98% of surverys started completed with no problems, but not had a single one since then.

Does anyone else use the prolific assistant? It keeps alerting me to surveys that have 0 places remaining. What use is that? :/

That's probably because the study only needed a few participants and they were gone before you clicked it. Even studies with hundreds of places go within minutes - you've gotta be quick!
