There's a study up at the moment for students. It clearly says that & says I'm eligible. I can click through to further details. I'm not a student.

Part of me wants to start the study just to see if I can.

PA might was to look at why it can be seen by non students (Anja Sch...).

Does anyone else find that some of the studies don't load? I click through and then I just get a blank grey page in the window where the study's supposed to be, with the timer ticking down at the top. Refreshing does nothing. Maybe it's something to do with cookies but it only happens on certain studies, not all of them ???

I completed it, and it contained a screen-out question asking whether or not you were a student!

I've completed a few studies this morning, including one by a Brazilian NGO which asked if you wanted to volunteer to give them extra help at the end of the study. I said 'yes' to show willing, but was a bit taken aback when it then gave me a memory question to see if I'd paid attention to the volunteering instruction! Bit cheeky considering we were in unpaid territory at this stage! Anyone else had this one?

I'm giving up on this site now.

I spent some time yesterday doing a couple of surveys on there and they've both been rejected. Before I started them, I noticed that people in this thread were saying that they'd had some rejected for completing them too quickly. Well, I thought I'd take my time to avoid that, and the researcher has since informed me that Prolific Academic have rejected it because I took too long.

Too long? How can you reject someone's answers because they took their time? It's too much hassle for very little reward. Prolific Academic, for me, is not a very good option for online earnings.

I've had my charity one approved now I also had the same thing with the NGO one, where it asked me the memory question - did think it was a bit strange

The thing about the memory question was that it was just a pointless question, not there to check that you'd understood anything important or relevant!

I had the celebrity attractiveness study rejected today. I enjoyed doing it but not enough that I would do it without getting paid for it. Off to email the researcher.

I'm still waiting for a response about my rejection (although I know why) so I can argue the pointlessness of my failure.

It's always frustrating to get a study rejected. You can spend more time chasing it up than you did on the study itself.

For me this one is a matter of principal. The reason (I assume) I failed on this one is the memory test, not a failure to read a question properly. PA have already said this researcher has a high rejection rate.

If they get away with it this time, they'll do it again and probably keep doing it as long as they are allowed to keep using PA.

I have done one of their studies before & it wasn't a problem. Maybe I was lucky on that. Will I do one of theirs again? Absolutely not. I'd like to see a button so I can reject/block studies by researchers I can no longer trust.

It's always frustrating to get a study rejected. You can spend more time chasing it up than you did on the study itself.

It is very frustrating especially if you have done it properly and correctly as all of us are doing. What should happen is the researcher has to give a reason when rejecting someone at the time rather that people being rejected then having to message the researcher to then find out why.

Just had my goal survey rejected - messaging the researcher now to ask why. I remember there was more than one of those are you paying attention questions.

I had the goal study rejected too. I didn't find it to be a particularly well-written study. With some of the questions I don't think it was clear what kind of answer they wanted.

It seems they have a lot of clients who want the data but don't want to pay.

I'm inclined to believe that they'd use the answers anyway.

My goal surveys been rejected too - I'm waiting to here back from the researcher now. I remember doing this one and answered quite a bit for all the questions

I think that was the problem I had with the previous really long £8 study. The data wasn't connected to my ID and I didn't have a submission code. Did you get a completion code?

I just heard back about the goal study and I had the same reply. I don't understand how the data isn't associated with my ID if I have a valid completion code.

Yeah, there haven't been many studies this week and I had 2 out of 4 rejected.
