I was just browsing the app, looking at this security circle thing, and if you go to add users to your security circle it will show your earning team, and mine said unverified phone number. When I click on the question mark it says that “pi earned due to this contribution is not final and will be lost if this person never verifies their phone number”.

To check if you have verified your phone number, you can click on the menu on the top left of the app (the 3 lines). Then click Profile at the bottom of the menu. Under account verification, click verify next to phone verification. It will open and send a text, then your number is verified.

While I’m here, @Kimilsung and @Becka since you are on my earning team would you mind if I invite you to my security circle? I think we will earn at a higher rate if we are in a security circle from what I understand. Thanks

Well... I’ve made 34 PI so far. It’s a new currency, not on the market yet. Currently not worth anything so will probably end up being worth nothing, or maybe it will be the next bitcoin. I like the idea of just leaving it on my phone and letting it build up. It’ll be a bonus if it’s worth something one day.

I had to go to the left menu - Earn Pi and activate the Contributor option before I could add you to my security circle.

I think we can add existing PI users to our security circle, not only the ones that are in our earning team. Is anyone else interested in joining? For what I can see you can earn 0.04 PI/h more per person.

Sorry, I couldn't do it. It says you can invite existing PI users but when I tried it only let me to add people from my phone contacts list.

I've been using Pi for a little while now (mined just shy of 1003 Pi) and since I started in November, they've gone from under a million 'Pioneers' to over 2.5 million. They've just moved into phase 2, which is going to be about setting up Pi members with desktop nodes, so the Pi system is decentralised, which I think they're rolling out on the 31st March. Once testing is finished, the plan is then to allow the selling and exchanging of Pi for goods. There's been a lot of progress with this crypto mining app, so I've stayed with it and I'm hoping we'll start reaping the rewards in the near future.

The problem I've had is adding existing Pi users to my security circle, so have any of you guys had any success with this? @Kevinburrow and I've tried adding each other and it hasn't worked for us.

I’ve only managed to add people from my earnings team to my security circle. It looks like I would need to add people to my contacts to add them, so if anyone is happy to share mobile numbers so I can add you to my contacts (only regular posters please) then pm me and I can try to add you and report back

I must have joined through Facebook because where it says phone number, I have n/a and a tick next to Facebook.

I'll try and put your number @Rs20033 into my phone and see what happens.

It didn't work.

I think its because I joined through Facebook. I guess a phone number is considered more secure and just looking at some of the bugs/issues people want fixing I've noticed that others have the same problem.

So, it looks like if you opened your Pi account via fb, you can't add existing Pi users, at the moment.

I've invited non-pi users and that works fine by the way.
