It's definitely harder than it was in "the old days" but I have had a couple of wee wins and I'm delighted! Whereas in the past I was entering EVERYTHING, whether or not I wanted the prize, now I'm not. For example, we've got three kids so there's no point in me entering a "family holiday" competition with accommodation for 4 as we couldn't use it.
I had a letter yesterday with a pair of tickets to the Glasgow knitting/hobbycrafts show at the beginning of March which I'm delighted with. I also won £50 in vouchers to spend at the Glasgow Christmas market back in December and got some lovely meringues, cheese, oatcakes and other foodie treats. Also in an advent competition I won some venison chorizo and other meat-y products which we devoured over the festive period. The weirdest "win" was two bone china cups with matching saucers - not my thing at all, but they were valued at £150 for the pair. They are still in the box, at the back of my wardrobe because my 9 year old says she is taking them on Antiques Roadshow after I die. :-\
