I rented 3 referrals as an experiment and it cost me 60 cents. I seem to have to have 3 people who are only clicking the four times a day which suggests to me that they are also maintaining referrals. I have made according to my calculations about 30 cents so far from them and had no plans in extending, however, neobux has allowed me to use my points to renew them for 30 days so why not? I make points by watching videos and this seems like a good use of them as lets face it I am never going to make enough for a gold membership! Neobux is a funny thing as it allowed me to recycle with points once and never again, and I've never seen it give the option of using points for renewal until today.

Has anyone else used their points?

Sounds like you've been very lucky getting 3 good referrals. It seems that most average 0.6 - 0.7 clicks a day.

It will only offer you the option of using points when you have enough for what you're doing.

I'm saving my points for gold membership as that gives the most value per point, but at the rate I'm building them, it'll take 2 years to get there.

It's a magic button thing.

When you have enough coins to convert to cash, the button will appear. The conversion rate changes significantly with scale. At the minimum, with 5,000 points, you'll get $1 per 1,000 coins. If you save up to 100,000 coins, you'll get $1.70 per 1,000.

Here's the rates:

5,000 NeoCoins = $1.0 for each 1000 NeoCoins = $5
10,000 NeoCoins = $1.1 for each 1000 NeoCoins = $11
20,000 NeoCoins = $1.2 for each 1000 NeoCoins = $24
30,000 NeoCoins = $1.3 for each 1000 NeoCoins = $39
40,000 NeoCoins = $1.4 for each 1000 NeoCoins = $56
60,000 NeoCoins = $1.5 for each 1000 NeoCoins = $90
80,000 NeoCoins = $1.6 for each 1000 NeoCoins = $128
100,000 NeoCoins = $1.7 for each 1000 NeoCoins = $170


Points can't be directly converted into cash. They can only be used as payment for extending or recycling referrals or for upgrades.

If you have enough points for what you're trying to do, it will give you the option of using them when you come to pay.

It's going pretty well so far, the jump in income is really noticeable, and I've managed to rent another 20 refs so far, with plans for another 10 this Friday.

Just picked up another 25 referrals, bringing my total to 123, with $47 in my account ready to cover the upcoming extensions.

At this point, my rentals should be self-sustaining. My break even point is down to 0.634 clicks/ref/day, average is around 0.67, so they should be delivering a massive total profit of just over 4 cents a day.

Best place to start is by clicking every ad you can, including all your adprize chances. That way you'll start building up some points for a free upgrade later on. Also, you can't rent referrals or upgrade until you've done 100 clicks anyway.

Next thing to do is to start getting in to the mini jobs. Register your crowdflower account if you haven't already and then start earning your levels. This can take some work, but once you're level 3 it really pays off. Avoid the ones that pay under a cent, the pay is terrible and they don't count towards your stats anyway.

If you're planning on renting referrals, don't rush in too quickly. The biggest mistake people make is getting too many too soon that they can't maintain them. Save up some funds from your personal clicks and minijobs first, then start renting when you can afford to do it properly.

Read through the Neobux posts on my blog, should give you a decent idea of how it works and where I went wrong early on.

Neobux has decided to increase the number of adprize chances you get for each click, with the number of prizes going up accordingly (see announcement below).

My record so far is 32 prizes won after 6,181 personal clicks, so presumably around 18,000 adprize chances (sometimes I miss some). Around one prize for every 560 chances. Other people's stats suggest more, but I'm sticking with my experience.

I get around 100 shots a day from 30-35 clicks, so I'm getting a prize about every 5 or 6 days. New numbers should give me one every 4 days.

Also, top tip for viewing adprizes: It still works with a very small window, or if you've dragged the window most of the way off the bottom of your screen, so all you can see is the bit where the "next" button will pop up. You can then have another window sized to take up the other 90% of the screen and get on with other stuff, just quickly clicking next every time it pops up.



Neobux announcement:

As explained two days ago we took this last AdPrize bonus promotion as an experiment to see if we could give 4 AdPrize chances instead of the usual 3 and increase the visualization time from the original 90 minutes.

Turns out that it's perfectly possibly to have such an increase in prizes so, starting now, AdPrize visualizations will have 4 chances each and will expire 240 minutes (4 hours) after they have been granted.

Do keep in mind not to extend those 240 minutes after your reset time as that will most likely reset the AdPrizes.

I think [member=2079]rrobson[/member] has covered a lot of things but I thought I would share my views so far. Originally I only used neobux to do crowdflower as it pays the best out of the various platforms but more recently I have been experimenting with the whole rented referrals gig. I think in order to make any money from this then a golden membership has to be part of it and I very recently got one. I hadn't built up enough cash so I bit the bullet and paid partly out of my own pocket so my real balance on neobus is -$46! I have 33 rented referrals and have also set up a spreadsheet to show my overall balance plus costs of referrals - see rrobson's blog for more details on calculations! This part of neobux is a game of patience and looking at the medium term.

I also do crowdflower tasks and play videos on the points section. I don't really bother anymore with adprize as I have never won a thing and I have clicked a lot!
