@Cclaire i have and was wondering the same. I’ve done a bit of digging in the internet and I suspect it’s pay per phrase, or similar. So may be typing like the clappers for about 2p per line. I’m not holiding our much hope! If I find anything out I’ll let you know.Anyone had an invite for a transcription project, 10 hours a week? Anyone know rate of pay? Ta
Thanks @Lizziew24. I tried asking them but they don't seem keen to say!
I imagine it's WSE work and they push the site you are going to review on your laptop to your phone that's allI finally heard from Appen today about a position, been 6 months, but reading the e mail it's says you need a Smartphone of less than 3 years old, mine is around 4-5, I have e mailed them to see what they say. Are all the jobs done by smartphone, I prefer to use a laptop with keyboards?
@Cclaire got an email this morning to say this was first come first served so I’ve been deregistered from “project iceberg”. Bloomin fuming. I responded straightaway when I hit the invitation. Never get anywhere with Appen. Bah.
I've had same email....wonder who they have taken on!
I’ve been nothing but messed around by Appen. It’s over a year since I applied and I think I’ve been offered 6 positions for them to retract the offer at the last moment. So frustrating! Oh well, onwards and upwards!!I've had same email....wonder who they have taken on!
That’s the one me and @Cclaire had last week but then got told they had enough peopleAnother one

Same here @luckyj142 im fed up of it. Apparently the “iceberg” I was deregistered from is different to the transcription one, so I’m still going to hear back and they are looking forward to having me. Yeah right!I keep getting an email about that one saying 'We look forward to having you on this project' etc etc and then no follow up emails. Haven't filled anything in or anything. I wish they'd just send me some instructions so I can start!
If you can't do it, you can't do it so I would just declineCan't find an OT appen thread so asking this here
I've been invited for a voice recording job but I can't do it as I'm away. Do I need to log in and decline the offer or can I just ignore the email? I haven't done any work for Appen yet and I don't want to be blacklisted before I've even had a chance to get started!
