So do Coral not tell you the overall odds you're betting at before you place the bet, [member=2116]MuckleMaker[/member] or were you just unlucky and overlook it?

I assumed it had something to do with rounding up of decimals, but it's a bit of a glitch in the matrix if it said 4.0 when you placed the bet but according to the system it's 3.9.

If you added everything into your betslip in fractional format, then just put £1 as your stake and the returns it shows are your odds.

Can't remember if it does, but putting the stake as £1 is a good check, will remember that in future.

With the odds rounding up and down, I always check with any bets what the calculator/acca spreadsheets says I should be getting back from the bookie if it wins, and what my liability is in the exchange. It helps to highlight any rounding up or down. Some bookies round up and some down in seemingly strange ways, not always following the rule where if the next dp is over/under 5 you round up/down.

Didn't realise they were ones that do free bet for the next race (been trying to avoid those) but if my horse does win in the 2:40 Warwick does that mean I will get a free bet for the next Warwick race, the next televised race or the next race on the Bet365 list that is in the offer?

Got an email yesterday from Betfair exchange for a 50% refund on any sports bet this weekend up to £25.

Never done these before and just want to check the following:

1) I place a £25 bet via the Exchange tab BUT as a 'Back' bet instead of the normal Lay bet (ie. using the BLUE box)
2) I then 'lay' the bet with Smarkets
3) IF it loses at Betfair, I get £12.50 back from them.
4) I would do this as a 'normal / qualifier' bet in the calculator
5) It doesn't matter if I place it on a win, lose or draw option in the footie

Just bumping this, thanks Also, as they are both Exchanges, would it matter if the back and lay odds were the same?

[member=4097]Knopfler[/member] Yes, that's what I'd do - go for something you think it likely to lose at Betfair, obviously - so you get the 50% refund. There is probably a way to lock-in profit but personally I'd just have a punt.
