If those stats are right then surely they should put London in tier 3 now.

They should have not messed with the North. He has no other option but to stick London into Tier 3, but with Boris being Boris, that is unlikely to happen.

Let's see how this pans out.

Yeah don't quite get why London hasn't gone onto Tier 3 really

I think it's because they only assess movement of tiers every Thursday starting 2 weeks from the end of the lockdown (which is next week). So unless there is a miracle, London will be going into tier 3.

I think you're right on that. Will try to find confirmation.

I could certainly relax a lot more if mum had her first jab this side of Christmas. I'm assuming I'll have to wait until the end of January (Group 6), or perhaps a little way into February. My first gig is early April, and I'd like to see a full and safe audience.
I’m in group 6 and initially I expected to get the vaccine by the end of January, but looking at the number of people in front of us in the first 5 groups it’s over 17m people, so 34m injections. Can’t see that happening within the next 7 weeks. Maybe we will have to wait until March for the first jab?

my understanding was that all the people / tiers in 'phase 1' are being done at the same time.

It's a weird one, isn't it? I might be in the Group 6 Tufty Club three times over, but I think there are plenty of people in that band much more at risk than I am (and I've had Covid; I think I've been left with a few issues, but I'm mostly recovered) who should definitely be jabbed first.

I don't fancy anyone's chances trying to sort this out - I have a feeling that it will take as long as it takes.
