Silly question but I'm in my first month with Appen. I'm completing my timesheets and know they calculate payment at months end. Is there anything I need to do in order to get paid other than do my days work and fill in my daily timesheets?

Appen seem to want some british speakers for work they have but for some reason they've put they want to finish the project by the 24th Oct! I assume they mean November!

Appen is seeking participants for a large-scale British accented English speech collection project.
Speech samples collected will be used to help us better understand how human interact with conversational bot (such as Amazon’s Alexa or Apple’s Siri) and to improve technologies behind such devices.
Qualified participants will record, in a quiet environment, short samples of speech based on the prompts shown on the screen.
This task should take approximately 60 minutes and participants will receive an incentive of AUD$15 via PayPal within 10 business days after completion. Detailed task instructions are provided on AppenGlobal. Please read the instructions carefully as failure to adhere to the instructions may make you ineligible for the incentive payment and/or participation in future projects.
We are expecting to complete the collection for by end of Oct 24th. The collection might be terminated earlier if enough recordings are collected. You are encouraged to complete the task as soon as possible.

I had a similar email (with a random date in the past too- i emailed them and they said the email was wrong and it was still ok to do the task) and have done the task, easy enough only took about half an hour. Haven't had the payment through yet but expecting it shortly.

Yes, @Jon - I've got the same email, hurray! Do you think we are okay to just go ahead with it and sign the Master Agreement etc then? I never seem to get quick responses to emails, so don't want to miss the job, especially as I rarely get stuff to do from them.

Appen can be very confusing. This one is from the global appen site. There is also appenonline, talent-appen, appen.com etc.
I have submitted a Support Ticket to ask whether it can be done on a p.c. instead but won't hold my beak/breath
UPDATE: They replied to say that it can only be done on a smartphone and suggested I borrow one if possible. Another one bites the dust, sigh!

Please could somebody tell me roughly how long the pre screen test for the web search evaluator takes?
From memory not that long. I think there were four parts and it took an hour max. I’m assuming that if you get through the prescreen then there may be additional tests for specific roles. I’m a bit stuck with Appen at the mo; I did the prescreen 6 weeks ago and they keep emailing to to invite me to take it again, but the system says I’ve completed it. I’ve emsiled several time to no avail. So frustrating!!

So I've done the prescreen test and it is telling me I have passed. What happens next, do I just wait for them to contact me now? There is a contract under the 'Available Work' tab, should I sign that?
Yep I’d sign it if it’s there. They normally get back to you within a couple of days. When I did the prescreen I got a message to say someone would be in touch within 3 days.
