These 200 signups people are no different than the scalpers I see in the queue waiting outside an Apple store. They have NO INTENTION of actually wanting a new product, they just want it to resell on eBay.
Even with your Direct Sellers Association there is still no regulation (at least in this country).
I personally feel there is a real 'campaign' that could get some weight behind it where it was made illegal to try and get people to sign up without providing FACTS AND FIGURES and not just random numbers. If people were doing this door to door it would be on the news. Because it is going on on Facebook and forums people turn a blind eye to it but many people everyday are getting conned into signing up to something, handing over money and then having a near impossible goal to reach any of the numbers mentioned to them when they sign up..
